Meela

Meela is an easy dog to love and care for. She’s a people person first and foremost.  And while she also gets along well with our two XL pitties, she loves to hang out in the same room as me or my husband. She’s a great companion for someone who works from home. By which I mean shes happy to chill with you, whatever you’re doing. She likes to hang out when I’m cooking, trudging up and down the stairs cleaning the house, working on the computer, or in the evening when we’re watching TV. She’s ready to come inside soon after she goes out. For these reasons and many others, she’d make a great apartment dog. She’s also very food-motivated. When she first arrived she didn’t even know how to sit. By day three, she’s sitting, and coming when called very quickly. I think she’ll be well trained in no time. While she did not like being alone when she first arrived, I’ve been impressed how quickly a little training has made her more confident to be alone.  She’s pretty good on walks and doesn’t seem to pull. Her attachment to you makes her want to keep up with you. She also LOVES being brushed, and her short hair means she’ll need no trips to the groomer.  She warms up to new people and other dogs with a little time and we believe this will improve with time. I haven’t seen her chew anything she shouldn’t but she does like to chew raw hides and bully sticks to exercise her jaw. This is a wonderful girl.
