Cotton Valley Pups Nero

These beautiful puppies were dumped in a church parking lot in Louisiana and fortunately saved by a Good Samaritan who found them wandering near the edge of the adjoining road.  Born in mid-March, they are officially listed as pit bull mix puppies -- but that's a description that's applied to almost every puppy and dog we rescue from Louisiana and Mississippi!  NERO looks very Boxer-like -- tan coloration with lots of splashy white trim.  He is very much a "people puppy."  He wants to be near you, hopefully spending a lot of time in your lap (although there is now more puppy than lap!) laying upside down for a belly rub.  He's energetic but not crazy so, and happily lays at your feet -- pretty chill. Both of these puppies have some definite Lab-like tendencies.  For one, they like to play in water -- especially Brutus, who drinks with one or both front feet in the water bowl!   Also, they are happy to chase and retrieve a tennis ball (still working on the give-it-back portion of that exercise.) They are well on their way to being housebroken -- (can't always make it through a whole night yet, but as soon as they are  let into the yard, they know what to do.)  Also, very much accustomed to a crate. This is prime bonding time for these puppies to be adopted and settle in with their new "pack."  They are healthy and happy and thriving and will make great companions for either a family or a single person needing a full-time devoted companion animal.
