Arya

Arya is one of the sweetest young dogs I have fostered. She is quiet and very social, and would do well in any situation as long as she receives the care, exercise and attention that all puppies need. Did I mention she is sweet? She has been wonderful with our young grandchildren and with private students who let themselves into the house unannounced. On our walks she tries to meet and receive the affection of everyone whom she can convince to pet her by rolling herself over on their feet. She loves to play with anyone who is willing: either human or canine and even our parrot who reciprocates the attention. She almost came nose to nose with a cat who wanted nothing to do with her. Arya seemed puzzled that the cat wasn’t interested in play, but she was not aggressive toward the cat at all. In fact she has never displayed any anger or aggression. What I love about her is that she entertains herself when no one else is willing to play tug of war with her. She picks up on cues from the people she interacts with and is happy to please us.  Arya just wants to love everyone. She is quiet in her crate, is playful with her squeaky toys when out of her crate, sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, waits silently in the morning while I get my coffee, has started to ask to go out if I haven’t taken her (which I do frequently), and has had very few accidents in the house. Besides her sweetness, I appreciate that when I DO take her out, she performs immediately. As a young dog, she is not mouthy and deserves a kind and loving permanent home.
