Dot's Winnie
Winnie is an attractive and adorable little lab/pit mix. She has a healthy, shiny black-brown coat, white paws, and a white streak on her nose and the length of her belly. She is alert, happy, self-confident, sociable, and a fast learner. Within a week she learned her name, no, sit, and down. She likes to play with her toys (see videos), get full body massages, have her belly rubbed, and chase after everyone. She is very healthy and has a big appetite. Winnie goes out every 2 hours during the day to do her business and, although not yet house-trained, she cries to signal that she needs to go out. No accidents in her crate; she sometimes pees in her pen on paper at night. She wears a collar and is okay with a leash as she loves exploring the outdoors (the foster’s lawn). Despite her current petite size, she is strong and athletic, can navigate stairs, and tries to jump up stone walls three times her height. She is feisty and independent-minded and knows exactly what she wants. She does not bark (yet) but has a full range of squeaks and squeals. She’s very interested in playing with other dogs and loves everyone, especially small children. She plays and sleeps nicely and quietly in her crate and pen during the day and sleeps there up to 10 hours through the night without whining—amazing for her young age.
