These six brothers left Kentucky last Saturday for the long drive to northern Virginia and have spent the last few days settling into their foster home. All have the coats and friendly, cooperative dispositions of their pure-bred black Labrador mom. They love to be picked up and cuddled by their foster family, who range in age from 90 to 7. They are very curious about the resident dogs in their foster home and wag their tails in a friendly way, although they are not yet allowed to meet. All but Charlie weigh close to 10 pounds. Charcoal had some difficulty staying awake for the photo shoot, having spent the previous hour wrestling with his brothers and playing with toys. After a nap on someone's lap, he'll be ready to go again.
