Pete

Pete is a sweet little boy. He came from a high-kill shelter in Florida. He is very friendly and willing to accept affection from anyone.  When you are still for a bit, Pete will come lean next to your leg or sit at your feet. He does well with our two fosters and other dogs, large and small, that he meets on his walks.  He had to be shaved down due to matting and his coat is just starting to grow back and will look great once that comes back in. As is expected, he is a little arthritic and walks with a bit of a limp, but is being managed with pain medicine.  Pete is already becoming more active, but is cautious on uneven ground and should carried up and down steps. He is mostly housetrained but has had accidents, so needs to be monitored and taken outside regularly to minimize these. This little boy would love to find his forever home.
