Hi!  I'm Susie, and according to my foster mom I am the definition of Sweetheart.  I like every dog and everyone I meet, I am very relaxed, low-energy, and easy going.  I am a sweet little girl who just likes to be cuddled up on a blanket in the same room as people.  I walk well on a leash and don't pull at all, I don't jump up onto people, bark, or beg for food either.  I go to the park every day and meet lots of people, kids, and other dogs.  I am very patient and polite of the silly puppies and little children who chase me or pull my tail, but I prefer the one's who are a little calmer.  I'm a bit older and would like a setting that is calm and quite. My foster mom thinks I would be the perfect dog for someone who is home most of the day and just wants someone to keep them company. I do like going out on walks, but since I don't need much exercise, it doesn't have to be someone who is very active.  I hope you will consider coming to meet me and making me a part of your family. I really am a very sweet girl who is perfectly content to just be with someone and keep them company!

Susie is Poodle mix.  She recently had a small mass removed from her back, but the vet said it was not cancerous and aside from the small scar, there is no evidence of it and nothing to worry about going forward.  She had a chronic ear infection when brought into AFH, and though it has been resolved and her ears are healthy now, she is mostly deaf.
