There is a reason that little Miss Abby is at the top of our 'Available Dogs' list...she is simply A-Mahhhhzing! Picture a 5.5 lb cutie, shining in a gorgeous black coat with white splashes on her chest and tiny toes. Already full-grown, she will perpetually be perfectly puppy-sized! Because she is so small she would do best in a home with older children. Even though she has been with her foster for only a few hours, she loves to go for walks in the backyard on a leash and harness. Grass a little too tall? No problem when she shifts into bunny-hop high gear with a happy countenance and pleased-as-punch prancing style! Abby gets an 'A' when it comes to pure intelligence: she quickly figured out how to climb stairs to reach a friendly lap, and has wonderful eye contact befitting an eager student just waiting to learn new tricks! She already has made progress in potty training, and is able to tolerate the crate for short periods until it is time for another romp! Forgetting her past life where an elderly backyard breeder who kept the dogs in an outdoor kennel with no cover from the elements and a concrete slab for a bed, Affectionate Abby loves nothing more than to be bundled in a warm towel and held while she sighs deeply and gradually closes her beautiful dark eyes for a nap.
