Beagle / Shih Tzu Mix

Betty recently came to us with her 8 pups from an over-populated shelter. We are told she is a Shih Tzu mix but we think she may be a beagle mix. Betty has been nothing short of an angel since she has been in our care. She is very friendly and likes to greet the neighbors when we are outside. She absolutely loves going for walks and does very well on the leash. She is not a barker. I have not heard a single sound from her except for a whine when she needs to go outside. She adores human companionship, and when she is taking a break from her puppies she sticks by my side like glue. She has been a fantastic mom and takes very good care of her puppies. Betty currently weighs 24 lbs. She is only about a year old and will be spayed once her puppies are weaned.
