Shepherd Mix
Peanut, Petey, Porky are Shepherd mix pups that came to us from the Fayette County shelter. Here is more information on Peanut, Petey, and Porky.

My name is Peanut, so naturally I am the biggest one in my litter. I am a German Shepherd mix, and I think I will be around 65 pounds when I grow up. I am active and curious about everything. I have already learned how to sit. Of course a treat often helps my memory a great deal. I think I would like an active family and especially one with kids. Kids and I would get along great! I am an easygoing puppy who will provide you with both love and entertainment. But most of all, I would love a forever home with a family who will love me as much as I will love them.

I'm Porky, unlike my brother Peanut I look more like a Labrador Retriever, but I swear, there is German Shepherd in me. I think I will be just a little smaller than Peanut. I am the smart one of the litter. I am very people focused. I learned to sit way before Peanut did. At least 15 minutes sooner. I am an all-around type of dog. I am active and love to fetch and tug, but I also like to cuddle and just be near you. I think I can adapt to pretty much any household. Mostly I just want to be near my people. I love people! True to my Lab heritage, I should be a great family dog. I would like to be a good family dog to you. I really would.

I am Petey. I was very sick for a while, but the kind people at AFH worked so hard and I am all better now. Because I was sick, I am a bit smaller and thinner than my brothers. I also happen to be a girl with a boy's name. Evidently there was some mix up with the names, I don't know about those humans, all they had to do was check. I am a German Shepherd Dog but I will be smaller than my brothers. I am the cuddle-bug of the litter. I can think of nothing better than just laying on your lap or next to you. I have an easy-going temperament although my brothers may consider me spunky; but hey, a girl has to stick up for herself in this world! Whether you keep my name of Petey or give me a girl's name, it won't make any difference to me. I will come when you call as being with my people is so important for me. And don't believe Porky, I was sitting way before Porky was.

Porky and Petey are adopted.
