Great Pyrenees Mix
This group of 7, pure-bred Great Pyrenees pups were given up to the shelter with their mom. These Great Pyrenees pups have an elegant white coat with gray and tan markings. They have a long coarse outer coat and a fine dense undercoat. When full grown they will be 85-120 lbs. They are very gentle, tolerant, and affectionate which makes them a great family dog. They are protective of their family and home. The breed is often called the gentle giant. There are three males (Charlie, JJ and Sammy), and 4 females are as follows:
Juno is the largest of the females. She is the first to explore new territory and warn of potential danger. The others follow her lead. She plays well with the other pups but when she's had her fill she will sit on a stair or hill to watch over the others. Athena is a very intelligent pup. Training is a breeze with her. It's like she's an adult in a small body [or I should say smaller body]. She looks at me like she already knows the commands and I'm the one that needs to learn to do it right. Venus is a beautiful pup and I think she knows it. She has markings over both eyes, almost like eye shadow. She always wants to please you. She'll sit at my feet looking up and wanting to give kiss and get some attention. She loves everyone and is a very happy go lucky girl. Diana is just one big bright white ball of fluff! She is very reserved. She needs to observe and get to know you before she will approach you. If you try to approach her she will get up and walk away. She doesn't run and she's not scared. She is just not comfortable with you. You need to prove yourself to her. Once you win her over she is very loyal and loving girl.
Sammy, Venus, Juno, JJ, Diana and Charlie have been adopted.
