Ava Maria...sounds like a prayer, doesn't it? Ava's prayers were answered when she was picked up by the PG Co. animal shelter as a too skinny stray, in delivery with a breach puppy. At the shelter, Ava had a C-Section and has been an amazing mother. She had the three sweetest, prettiest and most rambunctious all girl puppies you ever saw. If you missed them, their foster mother has photos! Ava's prayers were answered again when each beautiful puppy, they took after their mother, found her forever home. Ava could be an answer to your prayers. She is a full-blooded, but surprisingly quiet Beagle, who has the disposition of a service dog. The vet believes Ava is 3-4 years old. She is young, playful and active, and has outgrown any significant behavioral issues. She gets along well with other dogs. She has been peacefully coexisting with cats, and though she chased them away from the puppies a time or two, she did not try to catch them. However, the birds in the park are another story. She appears to be interested in children and meeting people at the park, but having spent time as a stray, she tends to be a bit shy . . . and she has an escape fantasy. Be careful with open doors or loose collars! Once she has settled into a forever home and family, the wanderlust should subside. Ava's puppy-care job is over.
