Dexter came to AFH with his "siblings" Eddie, Cubby, Cuddles, and Chewey. Eddie's not really from the same litter (he's two weeks older than the rest). These little ones came immediately into AFH's care after Fayette County Animal Shelter took ownership of them. They were still infested with fleas and all were suffering from bad kennel cough. After being checked by the vet, they were started on antibiotics and the foster was giving them nebulizer treatments twice a day and keeping them in a high humidity area. They all recovered and their loving and playful natures began to come out. They are a mix of spaniel and another small breed (the breeder only had small dogs). They were very scared and not used to human contact. Today, they are happy and playful and greet any one that comes in the door with a puppy "hellooooo".
