Olivia looks like a red fox. She is beautiful and her personality has bloomed to match her looks. When she first came to AFH she had been found under someone's porch with her two puppies. When her first foster got her she was extremely frightened and would try to hide in the back corner of her crate (see the bottom picture). She has started to blossom from her foster's love and care. Now she is with her second foster who has taken away her crate and then her x-pen. She has grown to be a dog who does not want to be left alone and follows her foster mom around the house and even comes when called. She gives kisses, wags her tail madly, comes over for hugs and takes treats from your hand. She has learned to bark but does it very sparingly. Once she is with you for a day or two she will love you like she has known you forever. Her training is continuing so that she is not so frightened of everyday occurrences. She is still uncertain about new people but if she is the right one for your family and you are willing to work with her, she will gain even more confidence. This dog is very sweet and gentle. My 5 year old grandson got in her doggy bed with her and told her that she did not have to be afraid, that he was just a little boy but he would not let anyone hurt her. What she needs now is an adult advocate who can promise her the same thing. We know you are out there.
