Beanie (Rex)
Male (Altered) — Date of Birth: 04/25/2003 (21 years old (Senior))
Dachshund Mix
Beanie is a pure-bred, chocolate and tan, long-haired Doxie. He was given up by a breeder trying to reduce her numbers. As can be expected from a dog that was used for breeding purposes, Beanie is a bit shy, but warms up quickly. Beanie will make a great second or even third dog since he just loves to cuddle with another dog. He will search around the house to find a dog to snuggle up next to for a good nap. Beanie also likes to be a lap dog or sit close by when he can. He is extremely laid back and is doing well on his housebreaking. (Please remember dogs who have lived their whole life in a cage are like puppies and have new things to learn when living in a house.) Beanie enjoys a good romp at the dog park and is not afraid of the big dogs. We just have to make sure none of the big dogs view him as chew toy, so he stays close by in case a quick rescue is required. Please consider giving Beanie and new lease on life. Five is a great age since he does not have that draining puppy energy, but he still has many years left to bring you a smiles, enjoyment, and of course good cuddling. Please contact AFH if you would like to meet him in person.
