Hi my name is Darla and I am a 3 year old Basset/ Beagle mix. My foster mom sometimes calls me Darla the Doll as I am so sweet and laid back. I came to AFH with my 4 puppies. They were all adopted to wonderful homes and now it is my turn to find my "forever home". My favorite things are relaxing with my favorite person and long belly rubs. I do not play with toys much, but absolutely love it when you give me attention. I am housetrained, but I may sprinkle a little if I’m excited and been left alone for more than 8 hours. My foster mom keeps me on a pretty good schedule so I know when she comes home from work I get to go out. I am pretty respectful of your furniture and am good around cats as well, I may show interest, but know to stay out of striking range. Ouch! That hurts! I really really love my rawhide bones and do not appreciate giving it up. Because of this I will be happier in an adult only or possibly older children household. I’m afraid I am not very patient around the younger children as my foster mom believes I have been handled a little too roughly before. Just to let you know that when I take you for a walk you will need to make sure you are paying attention as I’m following my nose wherever it take me and don't always know where I'm going. I was told that is the beagle in me. By the way I suggest for you to not to give me table scraps, as much as I give my sad-dog-eye look, as it goes straight to my hips and it is so darn hard to lose it. Wouldn’t you want a little doll like me to love? I’m absolutely perfect for those individuals who would rather lie around watching sports rather than playing it. Just promise to let me out at half time please.
