Dear Family, As you can see my name is Heineken. I will make the perfect addition to your home. You see I have had a rough life so far, I was starving and was hit by a car this year. (Once I fill out, I should weigh between 50 and 55 pounds.) The vets did surgery to repair my leg and I am doing better now. Soon I will be going to a specialist to verify that everything is ok. I am ready to live my new life. Even though I love all the food and attention that my foster parents give me I want a family of my own. I will be so grateful for you love and affection. In return I can provide you will hours of love and laughter. I like to play especially with my foster siblings. I also will curl up and fall asleep on your lap. I am housebroken but not a big fan of a crate. I would much rather be out and about with you. My fosters tell me that I can not go to a home with cats because I will chase and catch them. Yes, even though my leg is hurt I can still run like the wind, that is when I want to. I like kids, but my foster says that I should go with older kids so they don't jump on me and hurt my leg. I would very much like to have a dog sibling also but can be the only dog if you let me keep my play dates. I promise that I will be the best boxer ever! Scouts honor (paws crossed)! I hope to hear from you soon. I know that I am just the dog you are looking for. Heineken Update (4/14/05): I am over my bed rest now and can be out and playing. I just love to play, especially with my foster brother George. I have one more check up with the specialist on the 4/21/05. After my check up I will be able to go home with a new family and live a long healthy life. You can come meet me at our adoption day though. I promise I will be there to greet you with my nub a wagging. My fosters tell me when I am happy that I have the "Fastest nub on the east coast". So please stop by to meet me.
