Teensy was initially the center of attention in her previous
family. The family adopted her from a breeder in Texas and flew her home to Virginia. Her mother even bought her a special dog carrier to take her along on bike rides. However, Teensy's family could no longer take care of her when two girls were born and one was diagnosed with leukemia. The family now struggles with the medical treatment of one of their daughters and is unable give Teensy as much time and attention as this little love bug deserves. A kind neighbor asked if she could help with the dog and eventually Teensy
ended up with A Forever Home to find a nice environment for this little girlto start anew.
Teensy is housetrained. She seems smart and is very obedient (she knows sit, down, shake, etc.). She also does really well in the car. Teensy is up to date on her shots and came with her AKC papers and a complete and comprehensive file of her medical records. She is good with other dogs and children, but might be better in a home with older children who are sensitive to her small size.
