Hera

Female (Altered) — Date of Birth: 05/01/2023 (3 years old (Adult))
Bernese Mountain Dog Mix

Hera is a laid back 35 pound Bernese Mountain Dog mix. She was picked up by Animal Control as a stray, and was 15 minutes away from being euthanized. Luckily, AFH stepped up and she was saved.  Hera delivered 7 beautiful puppies on 5/7/25. She is an achingly sweet and gentle girl who is starting to adjust to her new home and life with her puppies. She is strikingly beautiful, laid back. She knows to do her business outside. Hera is so sweet and tries so hard to please.  She has already learned not to get on the furniture.  She also enjoys lying near her foster mom and readily rolls over for a tummy rub. It seems to be her favorite form of receiving love. Hera is a beautiful lady, both inside and out, and extremely gentle when receiving treats from her foster's hand. She has ignored the resident parrot and would probably be good with cats. She is  not reactive to squirrels and the fox that frequents the backyard. When leash walked in the backyard, she doesn’t pull. Her energy level is very low and she is a very undemanding lovely companion. She will make a beautiful addition to any family.
