Hi! I’m Amber, and I’m as beautiful as my name! The amazing volunteers with A Forever-Home rescued me from a shelter in Louisiana after a nice person took me and my nine puppies out of a meth house where drug users were squatting in an abandoned house. Somebody was so horrible that they actually shot me in the leg and chest! Fortunately, my precious puppies (7 boys and 2 girls) and I were rescued just in time, and we have been very happy and comfortable in our foster family’s home. I was a great mommy, but my babies have all gone to live with their forever families, and now it’s my turn! I am a medium-sized girl and am a perfect fit for a family with kids, dogs and/or cats. I’m a bit of a couch potato and really love cuddling with my foster family and doggie pack, but taking walks in the woods with my foster dad is a big treat, too. Being a beautiful beagle mix, I thoroughly enjoy playing outside, lying in the sun and sniffing out critters. My leg is still healing, but I will take off running in the yard after a rabbit if I see it before it sees me! It would be wonderful if I was adopted by a family who is active and enjoys playing with me and giving me lots of attention; I promise I will never turn down a good belly rub! Another awesome thing about me is that I’m already housebroken and crate-trained. I love talking to people, so I’m always happy to have a chat with you!
