Bo is sweet-natured and happy-go-lucky. His tail is nearly always wagging – even sometimes in his sleep. He is interested in everyone and everything but in a respectful manner. He doesn’t jump up – he waits to be approached. He’s happiest when he’s being petted or just snoozing nearby. He sniffs plenty but doesn’t chew shoes or items left on the ground. He doesn’t try to get into the trash or beg or steal food, but he does appreciate the occasional treat. Bo is completely house-trained and quickly gets down to business on a walk. He’s easy on the leash and eager to explore his surroundings. He makes friends with every dog he meets and is figuring out how to interact with cats. He’s never aggressive – just not sure how to play with them. He’s crate-trained and goes in without complaint. We’ve yet to hear him bark or whimper. He sleeps through the night and greets us with a tail thump in the morning. He can be quite playful, almost puppyish. The only obvious evidence of Bo’s senior status is a gray muzzle and some stiffness. He can navigate stairs but doesn’t seek them out. He is content to stay on main level of the house. Bo absolutely loves car rides – he’s just happy to be invited along. To be fair, he’s got a few flaws. For one, he’s a sloppy drinker. And he loves to drink out of the toilet. Both issues are easily remedied by having a towel handy and keeping the bathroom door closed. 🙂
