Bailey the Bichon
Male (Altered) — Date of Birth: 06/01/2009 (17 years old (Senior))
Bichon Frise Mix
Bailey the Bichon was originally owned by a backyard breeder who agreed to give him up to a neighbor who then had him since he was 5 years old. Now his owner has Alzheimer's and can no longer care for him. She has made the difficult decision to turn him over to AFH so he can find a forever home. Bailey is crate trained, leash trained, and house trained. He’s a handsome mature gentlemen who is content taking walks around the house watching his foster mom or snoozing the day away. He minds his own business and isn’t bothered by the two foster sister dogs, a Chihuahua and a very eager Irish Setter. Bailey has cataracts and is hard of hearing. He was born with crooked front legs and was missing teeth when his owner saved him but that doesn’t stop him from getting around or enjoying dog treats. Bailey has a younger sister, Sophie (not from same backyard breeder), and while he is happy to see her when they get together, Sophie is definitely happier to see Bailey and makes every attempt to corral him or snuggle.
