Annie
Female (Altered) — Date of Birth: 03/01/2014 (11 years old (Senior))
Boxer / Hound Mix
Meet ANNIE, a wonderful boxer/hound cross who recently came into our care from a Kentucky shelter. If you are looking for a medium/large dog (60 lbs.) who is nearly perfect in every way possible, this is the girl for you. Annie is young and is now completely up to date on her shots and worming, and she has just been spayed. (She probably had a litter of puppies before being taken to the Kentucky shelter.) She has the stubby tail and coloration (beautiful fawn-colored coat with white trim) of a boxer, and she is strong and muscular. But if you look at her face, with her gorgeous caramel eyes and long silky ears, you know you are seeing a gentle, affectionate hound. She loves everything and everybody! She is wonderful with people in general, children, good with other dogs, and extremely careful with the frail, elderly, half-blind cat in her current foster's home. She is completely housebroken and crate-trained, and walks well on a leash. She is in need of obedience training, as she does not yet know any basic commands, but she is incredibly eager to please and will undoubtedly learn quickly. Annie is high-energy -- not a couch potato! -- and will need to be walked or otherwise exercised regularly. She is so full of love that her worst habit is to stand up and hug you with both front paws and lick your face, and she is so sensitive that, if reprimanded, she just falls down and rolls over onto her back in submission. The lucky person or family who opens their forever home to Annie is going to enjoy many, many years of companionship and unconditional love from this beautiful young girl.
