Harriet

Harriet is a purebred Yorkshire Terrier who recently came to us as part Operation Yorkie Claus.  In the puppy mill where she came from, she spent her whole life in a cage outside, exposed to the weather.  She’s a very curious little girl who’s learning about all sorts of things – treats, toys, soft beds, and being loved.  She’s working on her housetraining and just learned how to walk up stairs (down, however, is still a work in progress).  She’s decided that people don’t seem to be too bad, but is still making up her mind about cats and other dogs.  She’s very shy and looks to her foster people for security right now, but we expect her to find her confidence very quickly as she learns more about the world, how to be a dog, and what it means to be safe.  And she’s very sweet.  She follows her foster parents around and likes to curl up next to them to sleep.  She has a lot of love to give, and will make someone very happy when she’s ready to find her forever home.  Could that be you?
