A Very Loving Dog...Kia is 14.2 lbs and AFH was told she was a owner release to the shelter as a Yorkie Mix; about 2-3 yrs old. Now House Trained and doing very well with basic commands... Kia is a very loving doggie who wants to be by her human at all times. Good with the whole family Moms/Dads and small well-behaved children. She is great in the car with the family. She is not food aggressive or dog aggressive at all. Kia has made great strides this past week she is now beginning to "sit" on command. She also waits (although impatiently) for her food to be placed in front of her to eat. She has started to take turns with the other three dogs when getting treats (cookies). She can run and jump and be the most energetic dog around, then when it is time to rest she curls up and naps the afternoon away. She is also very good about letting her foster mom brush her teeth and in general she appears to be in very good health! EUREKA...Success on housebreaking; not one accident for an entire week. She already comes when called, and responds quickly to the commands Off and Quiet (or Enough). We have also had success 'waiting' prior to coming in the house. She also gets alone with her two house mates (my dogs). Kia needs to find someone who will love her...she wants to give you the "utmost unconditional love". She wants to sit next to you and be your dog. Kia does not like being in a crate or left alone. Kia needs to be in a home where her human will be with her most of the day--like a "stay-at-home" or a "work-from-home" mom/dad or retire person.
