If you are a first time family dog owner...look no further than Shatzie (which is German for 'Sweetheart')... AFH has done all the work for you! Housebroken, Crate Trained, well mannered, great in the car with the family, good with other dogs. Great with (well-mannered) small children; great with all adults. Loves going to the dog park (South Run) and gets along well with all the other dogs that we have met there so far. Shatzie is in very good health! Shatzie (w/peaked ears) DOB: 3/3/02 w/papers-9 years old-about 18+ lbs, microchipped (chip will be transferred to new adopter). Shatzie is "Totally Crate Trained and Housebroken". She is just a love bug looking for a loving rub behind her pointy ears. She is very well behaved. Spayed 2010. So far I have only to point at the crate and say, Go to the Crate" and she freely moves in and sit down waiting for the 'cookie' she knows I have for her good behavior. (I was impressed). And, Not food aggressive she will sit and wait patiently for you to place her bowl in front of her to eat. She understands the commands: no, sit, off, and comes when she is called, and quiet (or enough)... she responds quickly to this, too. We have also had great success sitting prior to going out the door and prior to coming in the house. She also gets alone with her two house mates (my dogs). Shatzie needs to find someone who will love her...she wants to give you the "utmost unconditional love". She wants to be the center of 'your' attention and to sit next to you and be your dog. She sleeps on her doggie bed at the foot of my bed all night long. I have also placed one of her doggie beds next to the couch and she will sleep there as we watch TV or read a book. She really responds to commands very well. Again I am very impressed with Miss Shatzie and how well she behaves and gets along with all other dogs we have met so far.
