Hello, everybody! It's me, Violet! I'm a tiny female Yorkie from Missouri who has seen too much time in a wire cage. My foster mom says I remind her of a 'shrinking' Violet because I curl up into a tiny ball at the back of the crate. She leaves the crate door open for me and slowly and cautiously I've wandered farther into the kitchen. Every day I am becoming a little less timid. The smell of rotisserie chicken made me feel even bolder, and I even took a tiny bite from my foster mom's hand! I have the most endearing face and a thick, healthy coat. Despite my insecurities, I remind myself that I am a survivor. Even though I will need some time, it won? be too long before I can 'blossom' into a wonderful companion for that truly special person.
