Italian Greyhound Mix
Hello! I'm Allegra, a pure-bred, fawn and white Italian Greyhound rescued by A Forever Home from a puppy mill in Missouri. I arrived in Northern Virginia on November 8. I had been living in a puppy mill that was horrendous, but I'm so very young and optimistic, and I believe it's best to look forward, not backward. I am adjusting well to my foster home and the Italian Greyhounds who already live there. In the short time I've been here, I've learned to go up and down stairs and use a pet door. Within the first 12 hours in my foster home, my foster mom was amazed to see me skillfully use a wee pad. Walking on a leash is a bit strange to me, but I'm confident that I'll master that skill soon. I have a very steep learning curve! My foster mother believes I am exquisitely beautiful. My modestly prevents me from agreeing with her; I will let you be the judge. I am affectionate with humans but, like most Italian Greyhounds, I get a little uneasy near small children. I think it's their uncoordinated motions that get me nervous. (I have nothing against little kids, personally, however.)
E-mail if you would like to meet me. Ciao, Allegra
