Riese (Jax) is a Beagle/Lab mix, but clearly takes after the Beagle side of the family. Riese is a very loving, happy dog who loves to run and play fetch and tug-o-war. He is a wonderful companion. He loves to give kisses and wants to be on your lap when he can. He is fully housetrained and weighs about 35-40 pounds. He gets along with cats, other dogs and people of all ages and sizes. He is very submissive and patient. He loves coaxing other dogs to play. If the dog doesn't want to play, he will bring his toys to his human friends. Those who see him at the adoption events say "Now THAT is a dog with personality!" His pictures do not do him justice. When he looks at you and tilts his head, be prepared to surrender. Those puppy-dog eyes will get him anything he wants! Sadly, a new baby in the family resulted in his adopter not having enough time for him, and he was returned to AFH. He's now in foster care and is looking for his forever home.
