Hi everyone, It's Weegee again and I'm still here with AFH. I've been in foster care now for 4 months and a lot has changed in my life. I started out as a shy boy not liking people to touch me, but I've grown to trust people now and kinda like the attention. I originally was with Buttons and Buttercup where we were crazy kids, running and jumping everywhere and having so much fun, but they both found homes and moved out. The first night alone was the hardest. I was left downstairs all by myself....and it's not like I'm afraid of the dark...I just didn't like it. The second night I shared a bedroom with my teenage human. I still cried a lot. The third night I spent the night in a crate in mamma's room, and I've been there since. I never make a peep and I just want to know they're there. I sleep through the night, and even if I don't, I don't bother anyone else. When mamma says it's time for bed I run upstairs and get in my crate. Silly mamma, sometimes she forgets to close the door so I have to wait and wait for her to do it. Sometimes I have to wait for a long time while she goes through her routine...but before the lights go off, she comes by for a good night kiss and closes the door to make sure I stay safe through the night. When mamma wakes up she opens my crate and I bolt out of it and jump around. We head right outside and I do my business. Mamma keeps saying I'm such a good boy and that makes me feel good. She says I am very smart. I sit for my treats and lay down when she tells me to. Mamma can't remember when the last time I had an accident was. She is really forgetful and all, but the reason she can't remember is because it's been a really long time. I'm 5 months old now, weigh 25 pounds, and have lost a few teeth, but mamma says I'm still her baby. You can come to our house and meet me. Just send mamma an email. [email protected]
