Fido is a very young (2-3 Years) and happy dog who is eager to please. He is housebroken and crate trained, but a bit timid on the leash and usually walks behind you. When we (all the dogs) go outside to play, Fido stays pretty much by my side or right behind me. He will eventually go off on his own and explore (check things out), but for the most part he is more comfortable being close to me in the beginning. Fido is very smart and eager to learn. Originally he was not thrilled about going into his crate, however, now he knows that his crate is a good place to get "cookies" and he goes in on his own power (I do not even have to ask him to go in). He now knows the commands "Off" and "Leave it." We will work on the "Sit/Stay" commands next and if we have time a couple of tricks. Right now, he does not like men very much (which maybe an indication that he has been abused by a man), but we are working on that by having my son feed him and give him treats (cookies)...so he "will associate good things" with men. This is one very smart, sweet and very loyal loving little fellow, he would be a wonderful addition to any dog friendly home.
