Natalie
Natalie is the sweetest loving little girl despite all she's been through. She LOVES her toys and can be a little bit of a toy hoarder.
She gets along great with the other pups in the home and loves to meet new people. Her disability does not slow her down one bit. It is amazing to see her resilience! She is a special girl who deserves all the best life has to give her.
Natalie was born with a deformed spine and severe luxating patellas on both legs. As she grew, the problem got worse. She was unable to use her two back legs.Despite a previous surgery on one leg, our vet believes she may not be using it because of her other leg (a deformed leg) getting in the way.
Natalie recently had her deformed leg removed. She is undergoing physical therapy but it looks like she will never regain complete use of the existing leg (the one we had repaired in a previous surgery). Natalie can get around a bit on her own but also uses a wheelchair. There is a slight chance that the other rear leg might have to be amputated.
Despite her handicap, Natalie is a happy girl who loves life. She doesn't know that her disability is supposed to slow her down.
