Collabradors

(Altered) — Date of Birth: 08/11/2008 (16 years old (Senior))
Labrador Retriever / Collie Mix
These Fayette County femme fatales were born in mid-August and appear to be a cross between a Black Lab and a Collie. When they first arrived, they were terrified little babies, covered in fleas, with a partial hair loss and some other minor health problems. But they are bright-eyed now, their coats are thick and sleek, and they have all become pretty outgoing, bouncy little princesses. HOLLY (adoption application pending) is by far the largest and she is the "leader of the pack." A long-legged regal beauty, she has just a smattering of white on her chest but is otherwise solid black. She's actually the queen, and she knows it! She is also a bit of an escape artist -- clambers out of her pen whenever the mood strikes her to do so -- but if I catch her just as she hits the floor and reprimand her -- "Holly!" -- she turns around and climbs right back in again! JOLLY (adoption application pending) is much shorter than Holly, but every bit as black with, again, a small pattern of white on her chest. She's the scrappiest one, but just a bit more stand-offish than the rest. She still resists being turned onto her back and having her tummy rubbed, while the others are totally relaxed and love this. But she is happy to be held otherwise and will cuddle with you as long as you want. To see Jolly in action, you would think that instead of legs, she had 3" pogo sticks, she is so bouncy! JILLY is a blonde beauty, with a tiny little white blaze up her nose, a white chest and white toes. She is eager to please and is always first to run to the side of her pen to be picked up. But she doesn't take any "stuff" off the other ones when the going gets rough and the wrestling matches get tough! She, too, will lay on your lap forever -- upside down or not! (Holly is adopted)
