Fidelis: Hi, my step mom named me Fidelis, and I'm living up to my name! I've just started to learn to walk on a leash and I'm so dedicated to my step-mom that I walk right by her side (on the left, especially) and won't make a move until she guides me where to go. I've met a bunch of kids in the neighborhood and I really like them. Though I still can't stop myself from jumping up on people, I know in time, I'll learn to keep that under control. Which is good, because I'm going to be a big girl! My step mom also thinks I'm smart because in 2 days I pretty much nailed the going potty outside thing. And, if I just can't hold it, I go on my training pad. My step mom also says that I'm extremely sweet and just want a home where I receive love and affection, and she's right! And I SO want the chance to return it, 100 fold! Dempsey: I'm Dempsey, Fidelis' sister. I have the markings of a boxer pup, so I was named after Jack Dempsey, the boxer. Unfortunately, I was named before anyone realized I was a girl, so I have no exceptions to a name change! I live with my sister and a 14 year old cat, who is clearly the boss, and I show her that by rolling on my back when she comes around. My step mom thinks I'm very trainable because I'm only 9 weeks old and I'm learning how to sit on command as well as what "no" means. I'd rather use my puppy training pads as blankets because I pull them into bed with me (clean, of course). In fact, I pull EVERYTHING into bed with me, dish towels, newspaper, anything I can reach! But I absolutely always go potty on newspaper. I'm a little bit more independent than Fidelis, but I still LOVE people and just want to snuggle.
