Lana

Female (Altered) — Date of Birth: 02/27/2005 (20 years old (Senior))
Mastiff Mix
BIG. Beautiful. Sweet. Best describes Lana, the Spanish Mastiff. She romps and plays like a 120 lb. puppy with our male lab. Shows interest in our cats, but has not been aggressive. Lana's actions are all playful but she is not fully aware of how big she is and sometimes resembles a "bull in a china shop." Lana loves to go for long walks and will heel on lead when reminded. Enjoys the freedom of roaming our fenced yard. Shows us new commands and tricks she knows -- to date she knows sit, down, shake and is learning how to play keep away with a tennis ball. Lana thrives on love and attention especially in the form of massage or brushing. She is cooperative for ear cleaning too. Lana is crate trained and although she has free roam of our house she enjoys having her crate for naps and bedtime. She is very respectful of our home and has not shown any destructive habits. Lana seems most content when she has us in sight. Three weeks and Lana appears to be housebroken - no accidents (her former owner said she would have an occasional accident). The breeder also said she is aggressive toward other female dogs. Through gradual socialization, we have not witnessed any dog aggression. Lana's spay was a success. And although she must stay quiet for a little while longer, she is very eager to get back to running, romping and playing. Since she is still healing, she will attend Adoption Day this Sunday, March 30, from 1:30 - 3:00. You have to meet this gorgeous girl in person!
