Charley the Bassett

Female (Altered) — Date of Birth: 01/23/2003 (23 years old (Senior))

Basset Hound Mix

Charley is a Basset and Red Tick Hound and is a WONDERFUL dog. Her family adores her; unfortunately, the kids have become increasingly allergic to her. They have made the difficult decision to find Charley a new home. Charley has been an awesome pet. She is house trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash, gets along well with other dogs (although she likes to be the Top Dog!), loves children, trained on an electric dog fence, and she makes a great watch dog. Charley loves her raw hide bones and her bed! Riding in the car is not Charley’s favorite thing to do but she is getting better! Because Charley is a hound, she will bark at small animals and has been known to chase a baby raccoon up a tree! She is lovable, cuddly and attentive. She loves to rest her nose on our knees and gaze into our eyes! Charley is 4 years old. She has been spayed and has had eye surgery to correct a droopy eye lid. She could afford to lose a few pounds, but couldn’t we all! Charley would make a great addition to any family that has some extra love and time to share. Please visit her in person – the picture doesn’t do her justice!
