Border Collie / Corgi Mix

Hi! My name is Sammy and I am a handsome 1 year old Border Collie/ Corgi mix. I was first adopted from AFH as an 8 week old puppy by a nice and wonderful family with three kids to play with. However they ended up having a lot of time constraints and I found myself back with AFH a year later. I am an energetic dog that loves to play with everyone. I do not appear to have the herding drive like the Border Collies but do require some long family walks and/or trips to the dog park. I have been very well socialized as a pup and love to give kisses to everyone man and beast. I get along great with other dogs, but do have a slight tendency to be a little dominant, but do know when I have met my match. I am just learning about cats and still like to bark and chase them, but my foster mom always calls me off. My prior family taught me some basic obedience, but I still need to work on my leash habits and my stays need some work. My prior family told my foster mom that I am crate and house trained, however my foster mom is still trying to learn my signal when I need to go out. I would make a great companion for an outgoing and energetic family or a family looking for a friend for their current dog. With a little work and some healthy exercise I am sure you will find that perfect dog in me.
