Shadow is a 15 month old Springer Spaniel/Lab mix. She is extremely playful and sweet. Shadow happens to be deaf and has learned 10-15 manual hand signs. Shadow is a great dog that is house broken and crate-trained. She loves water true to her spaniel and lab heritage. When giving her a bath, Shadow is one of those rare dogs who runs to the hose instead of away from it or will actually jump in the bathtub when invited to do so. Recently, her foster mother could not find Shadow in the house and after an extensive search looked behind the shower curtain in the bathroom. Low and behold there was the sleeping princess---snoozing away in the bathtub. On a field trip to Burke Lake Park---Shadow again showed her love of water sports by jumping off the dock into the water and even diving into the water to retrieve a stick. She would do well with anyone who has a pool or access to water. Some may ask how do you call her. If she sees you, she responds well to her name sign and "come." Once she bonds to you, Shadow will not stray far from your sight. Shadow lives with a cat who tolerates her energy level. She loves to play fetch, enjoys playing with other dogs, and will follow a laser pointer all night long. If you don't have a laser pointer just turn on the lights and make your own shadows with your hand and just watch her chase them; afterall "SHADOW" is her name.
