With heavy hearts, we had to say to our beloved Harley…who filled our lives with nearly ten beautiful years of unconditional love, laughter, and light. From the moment he came into our home, he chose us just as much as we chose him. What began as a second chance became one of the greatest gifts of our lives. He had a way of turning ordinary days into something special, whether it was the excitement in his eyes during walks, the demanding more treats, to go outside into the yard, the comfort of his quiet presence beside us, or the way he seemed to understand us without a single word. He faced life with a gentle spirit and a joyful heart, reminding us daily to find happiness in the little things: a warm patch of sunlight, a favorite toy, a familiar voice, stealing his spot on the couch with the armrest. Even in his final days, as he battled an aggressive cancer with quiet bravery, his love and cheerfulness never wavered. He gave us strength, just as he always had. He leaves behind paw prints not only on our floors, but forever on our hearts. Our home feels a little quieter, but the love he gave us will echo endlessly in our memories in every wag, every cuddle, every moment we were lucky enough to share. Though our time together feels far too short, we are endlessly grateful for the 9.75 years we were blessed with him. He was not just a dog; he was family, a loyal companion, and a constant source of light. Run free, sweet boy. You are deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. We want to thank you all again, for pairing us with our sweet boy and for the adoption experience as we can’t thank you all enough.
