Come join us for our 2023 Casino Night & Silent Auction! The event will be held at Chantilly National Golf and Country Club in Centreville, VA on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

Brownie Brownie’s Fund was established in AFH’s early days as an honor to our first serious medical case. Brownie was a beagle mix puppy who had parvo and then developed pneumonia. She was very sick for a very long period of time. Brownie’s care cost us over $6,000 back then, but she was restored to health and adopted by a wonderful family.

We knew we would face other serious medical issues and established this fund to help cover some of the costs. We weren’t wrong. In the years since Brownie’s Fund was established, we’ve had several major-medical cases. Without the reserve we’ve built in Brownie’s Fund, we would have been hard-pressed to provide the level of care we’ve given to the dogs in our care.

The knowledge that there will be more serious cases in the future causes us to choose Brownie’s Fund as the benefactor of this year’s Casino Night. We need to replenish the reserve to be ready for the next Brownie who comes our way. Come join us and know that the proceeds are going to a truly useful cause!
