Candidate’s Platform Statement
My name is Tater but sometimes I am called Tater Chip because you can’t pet me just once. I was adopted from A Forever Home in April 2016 as a companion for my brother Cash Money. My father gave me a job as the “Squirrel Stomper” for our garden, and I have received several awards, such as fresh air, green grass, and the occasional cookie for my excellent work ethic. During COVID, I became my mother’s supervisor during her telework, but all those virtual meetings can get very tiring. I am great on a leash and love meeting new people; little girls are my favorite because they are so cute. When I see one, I give them kisses, which makes my mom very jealous. I play well with other dogs but am always ready for belly rubs and hugs.
I am passionate about helping other animals, and my mom donates to A Forever Home every time she gets asked, even going to Monte Carlo night and dropping a lot of money! I believe AFH really cares about rescuing animals from overcrowded shelters to allow them to enjoy life in a loving home. I hate the process of euthanasia, which I am hoping will no longer be needed in the future and more shelters will be designated as no-kill.
I think I deserve your vote “because I’m cute”, as my parents would say. I would be a great ambassador advocating for folks to “adopt, don’t shop” and how adopting a pet can save a life. Besides, if I win I can look forward to more kisses and belly rubs during meet and greet events.
