Post Office 3 Pearl

Pearl is a petite, rat terrier mix. She and her siblings were being given away at a post office in rural Louisiana before one of our rescue partners saved her. She is a stunning puppy, with blue merle accents on a snowy white bodysuit, with opalescent eyes that change color in the light! Pearl is crate trained and paper trained in the penned area in the house, and has the endearing talent of sitting up on her hind legs like a prairie dog to get her person’s attention to be held or taken outside to do her business! Pearl gets along well with the older dog in the foster’s home, but is respectful of boundaries when warned. Pearl gives wags and kisses to all who meet her. True to her terrier heritage, she loves to explore under bushes, root/dig in the dirt, and run full-out as fast as her short legs will take her to the next destination within the securely-fenced backyard. She will begin leash training. Pearl would adapt well to a home that will provide plenty of stimulating exercise, essential but fun skill training, and quiet time nestled near her loved ones. Although Pearl has the appearance of an ‘arm-candy’ sort of toy breed, rest assured that she is all terrier in her instincts, energy level and personality!
