Paisley
Found as a stray in rural Louisiana, Pretty Paisley has set her paws in Northern Virginia! One’s first impression is that she is a beautiful blonde with white highlights and fur as soft as a bunny! She stands 17” at the shoulder, is spayed, and fully vaccinated. She is getting used to the sights and sounds of suburbia, and brings some gifts and talents along the way! Paisley is learning how to walk on a leash, but already knows how to come, sit, stay in a crate, and indicate when she needs to go outside. Paisley gets along well with the 10 year-old foster dog and enjoys the canine companionship! She has greeted a few of the adult neighbors, and based upon her size would seem to do well in a household with older children. Paisley is usually very chill and quiet in the house, rather like an old soul in her desire to be with people and contented to be resting nearby or playing with her toys. But, given the warm day we had recently, a goofy girl emerged with spins and sprints in the fenced backyard, rolling in the green grass, and sunning and smiling to her heart’s content! She has excellent eye contact and appears eager to learn new things, although still timid sometimes as she navigates home, yard, and neighborhood. Paisley will do perfectly in a setting with lots of love, plenty of opportunities for exploration, play, and training, as she is one smart cookie! Sweet Paisley has traveled a long way to find her forever home, and her wonderful future lies within reach!
