Sarepta Hemi
Hemi is a sweet, intelligent, active, athletic dog who wants to join us in everything we do from cooking, to going out for adventures in the car, and long walks in our wooded neighborhood. He doesn’t chase squirrels and doesn’t seem to understand why they don’t want to approach him for play. Interacting with people who are willing to stop to greet him is almost as much fun as the dogs he encounters! He’s never exhibited a cross growl with any creature or person. He is a bright, bold but biddable all around buddy: spunky and playful at the slightest of invitations! He loves to please and has learned to ‘sit’ in one day without any food rewards, but rather for the desire to receive some positive praise. (Yes, he is smart!) Hemi has no problem with resting and sleeping in his crate for extended naps during the day and for the entire night. His potty training has gone very well, always sleeping through the night without accidents in the crate or whining to get out. Although still young, he is acquiring good household citizenry skills which will be appreciated well into his adolescence and beyond.
