The Madden puppies, Jay, Jerry, Marty, Ollie, and Rhett, all have the affectionate, cooperative nature you expect in dogs who have a lot of Labrador Retrievers among their ancestors. They also have enough spunk for any one of them to stand up to an older dog who is more than twice as big in a play fight. Someone abandoned these adorable puppies in a box by the road in Mississippi, but they were rescued quickly enough to protect them from any lingering effects of what could have been a traumatic situation. As you can see in their YouTube videos, the puppies are sure of themselves and eager to engage with people and with other dogs.
