Abel

Hi, there!  My name is Abel; but, my foster mom calls me Dog Genius!  She says that is because I learn everything so quickly!  It really is amazing!  I am already house-trained and am practicing other skills such as "come","go potty", and "high five"…all in just two days in my new foster home.  I guess that does make me a dog genius!  I am a Shepard mix, who is still very much puppy.  In discussing my ideal forever home with my foster mom, we've decided that I would probably thrive in a home with a lot of action.  She thinks I'd possibly like a family with kids and/or other dogs because I like to have LOTS of attention.  I just can't help myself…I am the life of the party! House-Training:  DONE! I am Dog Genius, afterall. Other dogs: I enjoy romping and wrestling, but also know when I need to take a break and can chew on my play toys peacefully. Children: My foster mom hasn't seen me with children, but I do like sitting on her elderly father-in-law's lap.  Afterall, I am pretty sure I was born to be a lap dog.  In fact, I wouldn't mind snuggling 24 hours per day if they'd let me. Crate Training: Not my favorite.  But, I settle down within a few minutes. I am an energetic, sweet, fun-loving cuddle bug!  I am super smart and easy to train!  Just be ready for LOTS and LOTS of closeness, as I LOVE humans!
