We’ve only had Penelope for 5 days and she has captured our hearts already.  We are told she is a Spanish Water Dog. She is so sweet and puts up with our 8 mo old Maltese rescue who pesters her to no end.  The first night I didn’t have the heart to put her in the crate after being cooped up all day from her trip from Kentucky so I gave her free rein of the kitchen – she did pee on the floor, but hasn’t since.  Last night I let her sleep upstairs with me and she did great.  Penelope loves to play and is very affectionate and good in the car.  She has adjusted well and feels right at home.  Penelope doesn’t like to be put in the crate, but she tolerates it.  I love the way she tilts her head when you talk to her.  She would be an ideal pet and can be with other dogs and I think she would also be great with kids.
