Foxhound Mix
In this corner weighing in at 12 lbs and hailing from a shelter in Kentucky is Little Mr. Long Legs himself! The Lap Snuggler! The Mischief Maker! The Master Tracker! It's the one, the only, Rocky the Foxhound!!! Rocky is a fantastic and smart little puppy with a gigantic heart, who has lots of kisses to give and is always happy to snuggle up on any available lap. Rocky is getting lots of exercise, socialization, and training in his foster home, and proving that a tired puppy is a well behaved puppy. But don't let this handsome little devil's eyes deceive you, he will continue to need plenty of exercise and consistent obedience training for him to become a fun, loyal, and wonderful adult dog.
Because of their size (males can be between 60-75 lbs), energy levels, infamous musical howls, and history of tracking and hunting, Foxhound's aren't well suited to condo or apartment living, or living in a house with cats or other small, non-K9 pets. Rocky will do best in a house with a large fenced in yard for him to run, or someone who can take him on multiple long walks/run each day.
Did you know that American Foxhounds are the official state dog of Virginia!! Learn more about the process to make this uncommon, but unique and iconic dog, a part of your family at: http://www.aforeverhome.org/forms/animal-adoption-forms/
