Violet Pup: Vera
Hi! I am Vera. My mom is Violet. I was the very first puppy to be born. I forged the way for my brother and sisters. I was born on October 30, 2013 at 9:51pm.
I weighed a respectable 8.8 ounces. I am solid black with the cutest splash of white fur on my chest. This is the only way you can tell me apart from my sister Velvet. Velvet is solid black. We think that my dad was a Australian Shepherd based on the blue merle markings of my sister Vanity. I was named by a special little girl named Emma. Her mom helped to deliver us puppies and it happened to be Emma's birthday. Emma was at our birth also. She said it was such a memorable birthday to watch us being born. My foster mom asked Emma to choose the name for the first puppy (me). Emma named me Vera. The name Vera means faith and truth. I will be ready to adopt when I turn 8 weeks old which is on December 25, 2013.
Update; December 5, 2013.
I am five weeks old now and weigh 2 lbs 15 oz. I am the picture of a well cared for and loved puppy. My fur is silky black. I had a white patch of fur on my chest when I was born but it is fading away. I am one of the more mellow and chill puppies in my litter. I am petite and perfect and beautiful. My foster mom says that I am her itty bitty lump of pure sugar love. I know that I face that whole "black dog syndrome" and that makes my foster mommy sad. If you meet me just once, you will understand...falling in love with me is just bound to occur. The time is getting closer, I can only dream of being chosen by someone wonderful. Applications are being accepted.
