Violet Pup: Velvet
Hi! I am named Velvet. Violet is my mom. I was born on October 31, 2013 at 3:04am. I was the sixth and final puppy to be born. I weighed 7.8 ounces. My mom Violet tells me that the best is saved for last :0) I am solid black in color. My foster mom says that my fur reminds her of black velvet and that is how I got my name. We think that my dad was an Australian Shepherd based on my sister Vanity's blue merle markings.
I will be ready to adopt when I am eight weeks old. I will turn eight weeks old on December 25, 2013. Wouldn't I look adorable under a Christmas tree?

I am 5 weeks old now and weigh 3 lbs 4 oz. I am a beautiful silky solid black but as I have grown, my fur has developed a bit of a chocolate sheen. I would say like a dark expresso color. I am sweet as honey and love affection. I am a well balanced, healthy puppy. My temperament is excellent and I am a gentle little soul. You know that they say us black puppies have a harder time finding homes..."black dog syndrome"...I am just hoping that someone realizes how ridiculous that is and chooses me! Because I am perfect just as I am! Applications are being accepted.
